Group accommodation Wehe den Hoorn (WDH-1397)

This group accommodation is enclosed by fishing and water, in the middle of one of the oldest inhabited areas in the Netherlands: northwest Groningen.  Space and many stars at night. This farmhouse from 1831 can accommodate groups of up to 10-43 people and is surrounded by garden and terraces on the east and south sides. The Hoornster canal, in which people swim in the summer, is right on the doorstep. The farm offers a pleasant non-smoking ambiance for a holiday with family, a weekend away with friends or a reunion with former colleagues. Also suitable for school groups, if accompanied. 

A holiday home in Groningen with authentic character

The authentic character of the farm is enhanced by the original trusses. A large living space with wood burning stove and underfloor heating. In the spacious open kitchen there is enough space to cook for the whole group, but you can also have the catering taken care of. Breakfast and packed lunches can be provided or a simple but tasty meal can be prepared. And if you really want to be pampered for an evening of culinary delights, a chef will arrange it for you on site. The accommodation can accommodate up to 43 people. The bedrooms are spread over the ground floor and first floor (see room layout). From the kitchen you enter the terrace with plenty of tables and chairs. In the spacious, enclosed garden with volleyball net, trampoline, table tennis table, there is also a covered shed with barbecue.

Take canoe trips together during your weekend in Groningen

The accommodation is located directly on the Hoornster Vaart and has its own jetty. From here you can make endless trips by canoe or maren boat. Canoes and bicycles are available for rent. The accommodation is also the starting point of various walking and cycling tours through the beautiful Groningen Hoogeland. The Wadden Sea is 10 kilometers away. And how about a day trip to Schiermonnikoog. Even in bad weather, you won't be bored; in the immediate vicinity you will find Adventurepark Waddenfun. There is also of course the Seal Sanctuary in Pieterburen, the Pieterpad, Lauwersmeer and the city of Groningen.
