Take a walk along the river Vecht, rent bikes for a trip through the woods or visit the Hellendoorn Adventure Park or Slagharen Amusement Park – all within easy reach for a successful group stay.
Right around the corner is the attractive estate village of Vilsteren, a unique estate of no less than 1,035 hectares. The area has a rich history dating back to the 14th century and still exudes that special atmosphere of yesteryear – with its park, church, inn and beautiful forest. A walk around the estate is highly recommended.
If you love nature and views, you should not miss the Lemelerberg. At a height of about 78 meters — the largest nature reserve in the area — you can gaze over the whole of Overijssel, to the horizon in Germany. The site is known for its heathland, juniper bushes, deciduous forest and drifting sand plains. Hiking, cycling, mountain biking or horseback riding: the Lemelerberg invites you to be active. In the spring and autumn you can easily bump into the sheep herd.
