Holiday farm Balkbrug is pre-eminently the location for families, schools and associations. The farm is located on the border between Drenthe and Overijssel, a location with lots of space and greenery. The holiday farm is suitable for groups up to 56 persons and because of the many facilities, this location offers plenty of possibilities.

The former farmhouse is a cosy group accommodation. The common room has a large bar, spacious dining area and a cosy seating area. The kitchen is equipped with a large 6-burner gas cooker, deep fryer and an industrial dishwasher. This makes washing the dishes a snap. The farmhouse has 8 dormitories of different sizes with bunk beds. The variation in rooms makes it easy to divide the group between the different dormitories. Outside, there are plenty of sports and games facilities including a basketball net, football goals, sports field, trampoline, swings and, of course, the outdoor swimming pool! Several guests make use of the outdoor swimming pool, which is open from April to September.

The holiday farm is located in the Reestdal. Reestdal is a small-scale landscape in which there are hay meadows, fields, heaths, forests, estates and monumental farms. It also borders the state forests of Staphorst. This means a varied environment amidst forest, heath and agriculture.
