There are also several freibaden in the region for a refreshing dip on hot days. Motorsport enthusiasts can head to the Nürburgring, which hosts a wide range of events throughout the year. Another impressive excursion is Vogelsang IP, a historic war memorial and visitor location with a special story. In addition, the Vogelgreifstation in Hellenthal is highly recommended, with impressive shows and workshops where birds of prey and other animals can be experienced up close.
