Holiday Farmhouse Swolgen (SWG-702)

This accommodation is an unusual and charming Limburg farmhouse, built around an courtyard paved with stones from the Maas river. Stepping through the gate and into this courtyard, guests are immediately transported to a different place. Like 'God in France', as the Dutch saying goes, but in Limburg instead. This location is suitable for groups of 10 to 25 people. Given its special appearance, it's also highly suitable for meetings, training sessions, workshops, and creative courses.

Within walking distance are the Swolgen woods and moors; a beautiful area for walking. On the other side, towards the Maas, you'll find sprawling farmland interspersed with fens and forests, perfect for bike rides. Nearby is the country estate Geijsteren, Arcen with its castle gardens, thermal baths, and beer brewery, and the estate De Hamert. Day trips in the area include Aardbeienland (Strawberry Land) in Tienray, Zooparc, the War Museum in Overloon, and Toverland (Magic Land) in Sevenum.

The house has an entrance hall, a spacious living room (50 m²) with a fireplace (and TV/DVD/CD), and a kitchen (gas cooker with electric oven, microwave/oven, dishwasher). There are 4 bedrooms on the ground floor: 2 x 2-person rooms with single beds, 2 x 3-person rooms, each with 1 double bed and 1 single bed. Also: 3 toilets, 2 showers, 1 shower/bath. For groups of 11–25 people, there's a lovely dormitory with 15 single beds on the second floor. 
The back part of the house is where you'll find a large room for creative and recreational pursuits (75 m²), with a fireplace, a piano, stereo equipment, and a few art easels. Additionally, a kitchen, an entrance, a shower, and a toilet. This space is suitable for groups of over 10 people, as well as for meetings, training sessions, etc. The entire house features central heating and double glazing; the creative space also has underfloor heating. In the courtyard is a covered patio with mosaic floors and antique teak benches. Behind the farmhouse is a second, stately terrace, a large lawn, a boules court, a music chapel, and a garden pavilion. Behind this is a fenced orchard with old-fashioned fruit trees and sometimes a few sheep.
