Imagine: waking up in an almost 200-year-old farmhouse, with the soft sloshing of water in the background and the Eleven Cities Route literally on your doorstep. You don't often come across a place like this. This characterful head, neck and hull farm is located directly on the water, overlooking the dike and the port city of Harlingen. Around you the open, historic landscape of Friesland, you immediately feel the peace as soon as you arrive.
Inside, authentic details and modern luxury go hand in hand. Think of beautiful architectural elements, fine materials and first-class beds in which you can sink into after a day outside. Everything is right, without ever feeling distant. This is one of those places where you like to make memories together.
Holiday home in Harlingen with wellness 🏡
This farm is made for groups who really want to be together. In the spacious central living space you will automatically come together: for a good conversation, a game or just a glass of wine at the end of the day. In the cooking studio and at the cozy bar you cook together, taste each other's dishes and create that relaxed atmosphere that you only get when no one is in a hurry.
The former horse stable houses two comfortable rooms with en-suite bathrooms. In the old cowshed you will find two luxury suites, also with private bathroom. This way everyone has privacy, comfort and a nice place to retreat to.
Outside, the water of the Elfstedentocht beckons: take a refreshing dip, get on a sup or just enjoy the view. On the large terrace you can feel the sun on your face, while you slowly relax. If you want to pamper yourself even more, choose the optional wellness facilities such as sauna, jacuzzi or a massage. Parking is possible on site, including charging points for electric and hybrid cars, which is very nice.
Discover the beautiful surroundings 🤩
There is also plenty to do outside the farm. Harlingen is just around the corner: a city full of history, cozy terraces and maritime stories. Walk along the harbor, get on your bike through the Frisian landscape or go out on the water. Prefer not to plan anything? That is also allowed here.
A nice detail: the rooms and suites are named after inspiring figures such as Nelson Mandela, Albert Einstein, Johan Cruijff and Joan of Arc. A subtle nod to history and character, just like the farm itself.
