Group accommodation with teepees and shared facilities

In the middle of nature, you will stay with the group in this atmospheric teepee camp where outdoor living and comfort come together. The camp has been in use since 2025 and consists of fully equipped tipi tents with fixed beds. Each tent has space for up to 6 people and thanks to the central heater it is also pleasant on cooler days, so you can stay here comfortably all season long.

On the site there is a communal kitchen in a covered area, equipped with a professional fryer, hob, refrigerator, freezer and complete crockery with pots and pans for groups of up to 30 people. Next to the kitchen is a cozy covered seating area where the group can eat or relax together. For the sanitary facilities there are 3 showers, 2 toilets and several sinks.

At the heart of the camp is an atmospheric campfire spot where groups gather for long evenings by the fire. On a nearby field there is a large stretch tent where the whole group can have breakfast, lunch or dinner and where a large smoker barbecue can be used. The tipi camp is suitable for groups of up to 30 people and ideal for school camps, family weekends, reunions and groups of friends who want to enjoy a unique outdoor experience together.

Outdoor living and enjoyingtogether

Schoonloo is located in the middle of the nature of Drenthe, surrounded by forests, heaths and quiet country roads. The village is located in the special nature reserve De Strubben-Kniphorstbos, where you can walk along burial mounds and vast heaths. Various walking and cycling routes through the Drenthe landscape start from Schoonloo. There are also several swimming lakes and recreational areas in the area. For active groups, there are outdoor activities such as mountain biking, survival courses and horse riding. Families can visit Wildlands Adventure Zoo in Emmen, Amusement Park Drouwenerzand or the Boomkroonpad in Drouwen. In addition, the famous Drenthe dolmens and the Hunebedcentrum in Borger are a short distance away. For a day of shopping or culture, you can go to Assen, Emmen or Groningen.
