This detached group accommodation is located on a site of more than 6 hectares in the green Ellertshaar, in the middle of the Hondsrug – one of the most beautiful regions of Drenthe. The location is particularly suitable for primary schools, secondary schools and sports clubs, thanks to its

large dormitories, extensive outdoor space and adventurous environment.

The accommodation can accommodate up to 68 people and features two large dormitories and a smaller room, ideal as a teacher's room. There are three neat sanitary rooms. In the spacious common room, groups can eat together at

long tables or relax on the sofas. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook for large groups.

Outside there is plenty of space for play and activities, including a private playing field, a campfire area and a private sandy beach. The site borders directly on the forest, so there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor sports and nature experience.

Catering and activities can be booked via the location. Think of Expedition Robinson, archery or raft building – fun and active additions to the stay, without having to leave the site.

Ellertshaar is a quiet, rural village in the middle of one of the most beautiful regions of Drenthe: the Hondsrug. From the site you can walk or cycle straight into the forest and discover the varied landscape with heaths, sand drifts and stream valleys. A short distance away is the Drentsche Aa National Park – a special nature reserve that is ideal for walks and outdoor lessons.

For groceries or a cozy terrace you can go to nearby Borger (5 km), an attractive green village with shops, restaurants and the famous Hunebedcentrum. There are also nice trips to be made in the area, such as the Boomkroonpad in Drouwen, Kabouterland in Exloo or the Veenpark in Barger-Compascuum.
