Fully-furnished holiday farmhouse in Drenthe, with lots of space for various group activities. The Saxon farmhouse, which dates from 1912, has been renovated into a spacious and comfortable ‘family’ accommodation, and can be rented for up to 22–25 people.
Chatting while enjoying a drink by the fireplace
You’ll have a living room with a (gas) fireplace, a separate dining area, and a fully-equipped kitchen, equipped with a coffee filter machine (filters are provided, coffee should be brought yourself).
For preschoolers, there’s a special play corner.
The bedrooms are on the ground floor, with box-spring beds and duvets. For guests with restricted mobility, there are 2 electrically height-adjustable beds. Next to the bedrooms is a bathroom area with 4 showers, 4 toilets, and 5 wash basins. Two toilets and showers are adapted for those with restricted mobility.
A wide staircase gives access to a large attic with various game supplies. This space is also very suitable for meetings and training sessions. Another 2 bedrooms are located on this floor. Behind the farmhouse is a private, sunny garden with various seats.
Lots of recreational options in Drenthe’s most wooded region
The farmhouse is right in the center of the well-known ‘brink’ village Diever (Shakespeare plays) in the southwest corner of Drenthe, with good connections to the rest of the Netherlands. Diever is surrounded by the national parks Drents-Friese Wold, Dwingelderveld, and Weerribben, with among others Giethoorn. This most thickly forested region of Drenthe offers lots of recreational options for a weekend break, like walking to the nearby dolmen, biking over the extensive network of bike paths, canoeing, or visiting one of the museums that are close by. It’s a spot where tranquility and space are still just part of ordinary life.
