A holiday home in Utrecht heated by solar energy

The luxurious rooms with their own sanitary facilities, the view, the spacious terraces, and the possibility to take a look at the sheep will make your stay a pleasant experience. One bedroom is wheelchair-friendly. The location can accommodate up to 16 people. The farm is completely CO2 neutral, and is heated with solar energy– the electricity comes from solar panels.

The kitchen has all the amenities and you can all sit at the table. Enjoy dining together, watching TV, and lighting the wood stove for warmth. There are 5 bedrooms with box spring beds that can be used as a single, or connected as a double bed, all with their own bathroom (rain shower, toilet, sink). One bedroom is suitable for the disabled (see room layout). The living kitchen can also be used as a meeting location.
Upstairs, there is a second lounge with a large chill attic. This large space can be reached through a bedroom. Outside, there is a large terrace with tables, chairs and some sun beds, with possibility for BBQ, a field for sports, and you can walk through the meadow to the sheep. In the spring, the lambs are born and if you are lucky you can experience their birth.
Two cots and highchairs are available for the little ones. 

A day trip to the Heuvelrug in Utrecht to hike in the woods together

There are many hiking and cycling routes in the immediate vicinity. In the spring, the blossom route and the cherry festival are big attractions, and in fall, the harvest festival and the apple picking day attract many visitors. The Heuvelrug with beautiful forests and heaths is a few miles away. If you want to visit a city, you can choose between Wijk bij Duurstede, Utrecht, or Amersfoort for shopping, museum visits, or a city trip.
