Welcome to Samadet in France, where this beautiful estate is located. The 17th-century estate consists of a total of a mansion, a barn, and two cottages for 4 and 6 people (see other listings to book the entire estate or choose a different composition). These accommodations are two cottages suitable for 10 people in total. In French, the houses have been given the feminine form 'La Maison', and this group accommodation is no exception. From the accommodation, you overlook the French countryside as far as the eye can see, with views of the Pyrenees to the south. An ideal place to relax and enjoy in this quiet environment and nature.

Staying in the cottages is a unique experience because the cottages are former stables lovingly renovated for up to 4 and 6 guests, 10 in total. The open kitchen is equipped with all modern amenities such as a gas stove, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, oven, and dishwasher. The cottage for 6 people has 3 large bright bedrooms with double beds, two of which are on the first floor and one on the ground floor with wheelchair access. The cottage has two bathrooms, one on the ground floor (wheelchair accessible) and the second bathroom on the first floor. The cottage for 4 people has two bedrooms with double beds and a bathroom with bath, shower, toilet, and sink. This accommodation also has a fully equipped private kitchen. On the terrace, you can enjoy being together and the surroundings while enjoying a snack and a drink. There is a barbecue at the cottages. On the estate, there is a pool (open from April to October), a play barn, and other play facilities (if there are other guests on the premises, the facilities are shared with other guests. The exception is when the estate is booked in its entirety).

Discovering the surroundings together

The cottages are located on a fenced 4-hectare property surrounded by the French countryside. There are plenty of sights to discover around Samadet. The accommodation is conveniently located in the heart of Les Landes, 1.5 hours south of the Pyrenees and 1.5 hours west of the Atlantic coast, both ideal for day trips. The area is also excellent for beautiful walks or bike rides. A popular attraction is the collegiate church of Saint-Barthélémy in Pimbo (about 13 km from the accommodation). The church is half castle, half place of worship, and behind the church is a beautiful botanical garden with a magnificent view of the Pyrenees. It is possible to get a guided tour here if desired. There are also many local markets you can visit, including those in Hagetmau and Geaune (both 10 minutes away by car) and one in Aire-sur-l'Adour (25 minutes away by car). These markets offer fresh vegetables, fruits, cheeses, meats, and nice local products. The bakery and general store are a 10-minute walk away, or you can take a bike ride from the chateau through the quiet country lanes. Whether you want to relax, cycle a stage of the Tour de France, enjoy a meal at the local Michelin-starred restaurant in Eugenie-Les-Bains, or delve into local history, it's all possible in the vicinity of Samadet.
