Accommodations in Gemert

Gemert (dialect: Gimmert) is a urbanized village in the municipality of Gemert-Bakel in the province of North Brabant, located in the Peelrand. Until the municipal reorganization in 1997, it was an independent municipality.

The centre of Gemert is Ridderplein and its surroundings. This is where you can find the castle and further to the north the church of Sint-Jans Onthoofding. The town hall and a number of cafés can be found at this square as well. Many shops are located on the main streets leading to the Ridderplein. This is why Gemert acts as a regional center. The west has not seen as much new constructions, hence why the road alongside the castle or even through the old streets leading west will lead you to the rural area quickly. Many historical buildings can still be found in the original streets.

Moving east, there are some new buildings next to a few older streets. The Rips flows through the buildings, although you will barely notice it.
